Daukniunu agricultural company, which is located in the Panevezys district, was established in 1993 in the place of the former collective farm, where in accordance with the Asset Privatization Act of the Republic of Lithuania the Daukniunu agricultural enterprise was privatised. The main objectives of the company are the following: effective utilisation of the own and leased land, production and selling of high-quality agricultural products, provision of a wide range of services related to agricultural products, enhancement of competitiveness of the company, improvement of working and living conditions of its employees.
In order to achieve better results in the production of cattle, the company makes large investments by own financial resources: it has reconstructed three dairy farms, calving barns, barns where an in-calf heifers are kept, and other buildings. In accordance with the EU standards, the company has arranged a manure disposal and storage system as well as upgraded all the equipment. As a result, the quality of products has been improved, the production costs have been reduced, and farm profitability has increased. Everything has been implemented in compliance with the environmental standards. The working conditions for employees and their efficiency have also been enhanced.
We sell purebred heifers to companies and farmers. For several years we have been visiting and taking part in the Republican exhibition of purebred animals.
